Claro NZ Ltd., founded in 1998 and located 250 km north of Auckland, the business capital of New Zealand, is based on the belief that our customers’ and partners’ needs are of the utmost importance. We are committed to meeting those needs and delivering new ideas, solutions, and the best service in the industry.

Claro NZ is part of a loose and very dynamic global network of trusted individuals and independent specialty ingredient, food production and trading companies in Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific. We specialize in consulting with food and food ingredient companies and source unique and innovative products from Asia and Oceania for our partners and clients.

We are passionate food technologists, business economists/management experts and marketing specialists, with more than 65 years of combined experience in the international food and food ingredient business, particularly in hydrocolloids and fibres as well as bakery ingredients.

In 2012 we also established ‘The BakerBoy’ bakery, probably New Zealand’s smallest boutique bakery, producing artisan German, French and Italian style wheat/rye and sourdough bread, buns, pretzels and other specialities, which are made-to-order and sold directly to our customers in the area.
The bakery is also used for training purposes and as a test bakery for baking ingredients, to develop and fine-tune recipes and produce samples for demonstration.

Rolf Kratz:
Baker by trade, degrees in food technology and business economy, with the past 30+ years of job experience as head of Sales and In-field service in the European, North American, Asia-Pacific and Oceania Food and Food Ingredients industries, and as Asia-Pacific Office Manager (in New Zealand) for internationally renowned ingredients suppliers and leaders in their field.
Extensive experience in website management and creation of technical marketing, promotion and sales support material.

Claudia Zedler:
Chemical-technical assistant, degrees in food technology and product marketing, with over 35 years of experience in in-field service and marketing of hydrocolloids and fibres, as Technical / QM Documentation Administrator and in the creation of technical marketing, promotion and sales support material.
